Hanukkah is coming! In addition to traditional fried treats, we invite you to prepare the Basic Dough Recipe and several fillings for Cheese Sambusak, Sambusak Tawa, and Baba’a,  a flat date pastry. The Basic Dough may be used for all these delicious treats.

Throughout the year, special recipes from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Morocco, Libya, Tunisia, Turkey, Singapore, China, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and other international Jewish communities grace our Shabbat and holiday tables at Kahal Joseph Congregation. These dishes have been handed down for generations in our community, and now we share them with you.
