Purim Greetings to the Community

Hag Sameah,

Purim is a holiday when miracles occurred in a completely natural way. The wonders of Purim are the exact opposite of the miracles we associate with Passover, like the plagues or the splitting of the sea, that broke nature’s rules.

Unlike the wonders Israel witnessed when they were freed from Egypt, Purim’s miracles were draped in nature’s garments. Even though we were in a very difficult situation, and didn’t merit overt and obvious miracles, Hashem still showed his love for us. Through coincidence after coincidence, the Jewish people were saved from annihilation and destruction.   Read more…

A Purim Welcome

Dear friends,

Happy Purim!

Welcome to Kahal on the festive holiday of Purim. We look forward to seeing you at one of our many Purim events starting on Sunday, March 5th with a community wide Celebration at 10 am. On Monday night, put on your costumes and join us for a fun-filled Megillah reading with noisemakers and treats. Then, on Tuesday, we have three megillah readings for you to enjoy, at 7:00 am, 9:30 am, and at our Family Purim Party at 5:00 pm. We hope to see you at Kahal this Purim.

Wishing you a happy holiday with your loved ones,

Rafael Itzhaki, President of the Board

Purim Greetings

I wish you all a joyous and happy Purim with your loved ones.

We are off to a good start at Kahal Joseph. On Sunday February 26, Our Social Hall transformed into Sambusak Central where our wonderful volunteers baked traditional Iraqi sweets for our Mishloah Manot Baskets. You can check out the recipes at kahaljoseph.org.

I hope you will enjoy the upcoming Purim events: the Purim Celebration on Sunday the 5th and Megillah Readings on the Monday the 6th and Tuesday the 7th of March.

May we always join together in Happy Celebrations.

Yvette Dabby, Senior Vice President
